Why Use Virtual Manipulatives?

Think about a student who can follow the steps, but doesn’t really understand what the numbers mean.

They try an answer. Erase it. Try again. The worksheet tells them they’re wrong, but it doesn’t show them why.

Manipulatives change that.

When students can see and move the math, the numbers stop being guesses. They become something students can explain.

Teachers can ask, “Show me your thinking,” and students can actually show it.
