This tool combines the linear nature of a number line with the physical area of bars to help students “see” the size of numbers.

• How to Use: Drag colored bars onto the number line. The bars snap to the increments, allowing for easy comparison of lengths.
• Classroom Idea: Model addition by placing a “3” bar and a “4” bar end-to-end to see that they reach the “7” mark.
